CNN & The Gulf War

President Bush and his Military advisers were quick to cover the mistakes they had made in Grenada. While we did in fact have reporters stationed in Saudi Arabia, they were stationed hundreds of miles from the action and needed a military escort to be taken there. It wasn’t until media mogul Ted Turner created CNN that we actually had reporters inside Baghdad, at the invitation of Saddam Hussein. He wanted both sides of the war portrayed, as he felt the power of American censorship. CNN and the Gulf War
