Media as a Tool & the War on Terror

When the war spilled over into Iraq in 2003, Bush wanted to paint Saddam’s face with the Brand of terrorism. By doing so, the media would be shadows be the soldiers in Iraq, travelling with them as the ground war began to liven up. There were some limitations on what you could and could not report, and the censorship of the media concerning the war was still tightly under government control, but the day by day coverage had not been seen for 40 years in the Vietnam war.
